Noise Risk Toolbox Report
The noise toolbox report (example below) consists of hourly noise risk data for the current day and the following day, as well as three categories of user defined alerts.
The noise risk forecast for the next two days is shown as hourly squares coloured by risk level, with wind direction as an arrow above each square. Noise risk levels are based on the following:
Wind Speed (m/s) | Temperature Gradient (°C) | ||
---|---|---|---|
<1.5 | 1.5 - 4 | >4 | |
<0.5 | Very low | Low | High |
0.5 - 3 | Very low | Moderate | High |
>3 | Very low | Low | High |
Risk levels can be configured to include the above thresholds as well as a specified wind sector. For example, if the wind direction does not impact a sector which is a cause for alert, the squares below will remain green.
Three categories of alerts are listed under this forecast:
Immediate Action
Watch and Act
Advice
An SMS is sent to SMS subscribers with Immediate Action alerts if there are any.
