The Recovery Period is the number of hours the AHLU is zero.
The period of recovery is important and can indicate how well cattle will respond to a heat event the following day. A recovery period of less than 6 hours has been identified by veterinary practitioners as an indicator of the high likelihood of a heat stress event the following day.
